GCSE Results Day 2025

On a bright and sunny August morning, Charters School welcomed back Year 11 students to collect their GCSE results and celebrate their achievements.
This year’s cohort began their journey with Charters during the Covid-19 pandemic, meaning their transition into secondary education was far from normal. Despite these challenges, they have shown remarkable determination and resilience, and today’s results are a testament to their hard work.
There was much to celebrate across the year group:
56.3% of students achieved a strong pass (grade 5 or above) in both English and Maths.
76.9% achieved a standard pass (grade 4 or above) in both English and Maths.
52.2% achieved 5 or more strong passes including English and Maths.
72.8% achieved 5 or more standard passes including English and Maths.
To mark the occasion, students were treated to a complimentary ice cream, with tokens tucked inside their results envelopes — a small gesture that brought even more smiles on results day.
Headteacher John Fletcher said, "We are extremely proud of the students' outcomes, with many outstanding personal achievements that show individual commitment and resilience to their studies. I wish all our students the very best for the future and am looking forward to welcoming many back into the Sixth Form. For those moving on to new opportunities, we wish you every success in your further studies."
Very many congratulations to the Class of 2025!
