Year 9 Options 2025-26

In Year 9, students choose the subjects they will study for the Key Stage 4 curriculum. This process allows students to begin tailoring their education to their individual interests, with their selections forming the foundation for several key areas:

  • Progress and Achievement: Ensuring students are enrolled on courses that suit their abilities to support their success over the next two years.
  • Future Study Options: Opening the necessary pathways for Sixth Form, college, or further education at the end of Year 11.
  • Employment Prospects: Developing the specific skills and qualifications required for future career aspirations and the world of work.

In the Spring term, information and resources will be provided to help students navigate these decisions. It is important that students spend time researching all available options and discussing their choices with parents, carers, teachers, and tutors to ensure their final curriculum reflects their strengths and ambitions.
