NEWSLETTER -5th JUNE 2026

A very warm welcome back to everyone. We hope you all managed to enjoy some of the lovely warm weather over the break and had the chance to relax with family and friends.
We returned to school with some fantastic news about our students involved in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. Collectively, they have completed an incredible 9,646 hours of volunteering within the local community. We are enormously proud of the kindness, generosity and commitment our students continue to show, and it is wonderful to see so many giving back and making such a positive difference to others.
The Charters Stags rugby team, made up of staff and alumni, recently took on Camberley Rugby Club in the second Waddleton Cup fixture. It was a closely fought and highly enjoyable game, with Camberley eventually retaining the cup for the second year running. Thank you to all of the players involved and to Camberley Rugby Club for hosting the event so warmly. A special thank you also goes to Mr Watts for all of his hard work in organising the fixture.

We would also like to say a huge well done to our Year 8 rugby team, who played a junior fixture as part of the day. For several students, this was their very first experience of playing rugby, and they threw themselves into it with enthusiasm and determination. We are incredibly proud of them for stepping outside their comfort zones and trying something new — who knows, this could be the start of a future rugby star!

Looking ahead, we are very excited about our Literary and Summer Fayre taking place on 4 July. There will be a wide range of activities for families to enjoy, alongside some wonderful guest authors who will be joining us during the day. As excitement for the event continues to grow, we are looking for a few more volunteers to help everything run smoothly. If you are able to spare even a short amount of time on the day, we would be incredibly grateful for your support. Please use the link HERE to register your availability. It is shaping up to be a truly fantastic community event and we are looking forward to welcoming everyone along.

HOPE FOOD SHARE

The Hope Church food share takes place each Tuesday from 12pm-1pm.
The items include mainly fresh food and bakery items donated from local supermarkets. The food is at the end of its shelf life (but still perfectly fine to eat!) and would otherwise just go to waste. Bring a bag to fill up, stop for a chat and a cup of tea (and cake!!) and warm up in the church. ALL welcome, no voucher/referral required.
Hope Church, Sunningdale, The Hope Centre, High Street Sunningdale, (next to Nag’s Head).
