SCHOOL CLOSED Thursday 25th June & Friday 26th June
School Closure — Red Weather Warning for Extreme Heat
Charters School and Sixth Form will be closed on Wednesday 24th, Thursday 25th and Friday 26th June due to a Red Weather Warning for extreme heat issued by the Met Office.
The safety and wellbeing of our students and staff is our absolute priority. A Red Warning is the most serious level of weather alert, and given our school buildings and environment, we have made the decision that it would not be safe or appropriate to have students on site during this period.
What this means for your child:
- School will be closed to all students on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
- Work will be set via ARBOR for students to complete at home where possible. This is so students can complete work in the coolest parts of the day, also many staff will be looking after their own child at home as school shut.
- Yr 10 Parents' Evening will be online on Thursday 25th.
The weather on Monday returns to seasonal norms, so school will open as normal. Students will be expected to wear their normal school uniform.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind you of how to keep safe in hot weather and how to keep safe in open water
