Students Enjoy a Royal Day Out at Ascot Racecourse
A group of students from Years 7–10 had the exciting opportunity to visit Ascot Racecourse during the world-famous Royal Ascot meeting. They enjoyed an afternoon in the dedicated picnic area within the Heath Enclosure, which provided a unique insight into one of Britain's most prestigious sporting and social events.

A highlight of the day was watching the spectacular Royal Procession, which arrived shortly before racing began. Students also had the chance to experience the excitement of race day by watching races from the enclosure and learning more about the sport and traditions of horse racing.
Many students enjoyed trying the mechanical horse simulator, where they could experience what it feels like to be a jockey using virtual reality technology. This proved to be a particularly popular attraction and gave students a fun and interactive insight into the skills required in professional horse racing.

The sunny weather provided the perfect backdrop for a picnic lunch, and students represented Charters School exceptionally well throughout the visit, demonstrating excellent behaviour and enthusiasm.
The trip offered a memorable experience, combining sport, culture and history, while allowing students to experience a major national event first-hand. We would like to thank the staff who accompanied the visit and helped make the day such a success.
We hope all the students who attended enjoyed this unique opportunity and took away some lasting memories from their day at Royal Ascot.
