There was a real sense of pride and excitement on Friday afternoon as the U15 Girls football team were crowned East Berkshire Football Cup champions following a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Sandhurst School.

Their journey to the title had only just gathered pace earlier in the week. Returning from the Easter break, the team showed little sign of rust as they delivered an impressive performance in their semi-final on Tuesday, setting up a well-deserved place in the final.

The showpiece event took place at Ascot United, providing a fitting stage for what proved to be a competitive and entertaining match. Facing a strong Sandhurst side, the girls demonstrated determination, teamwork, and resilience from the first whistle.

Throughout the game, it was clear how much the squad had grown together over the season. Their communication, work rate, and support for one another stood out, especially in key moments under pressure. Taking their chances well and defending with composure, they edged ahead to secure a 2–1 win and lift the trophy.

The final whistle was met with celebrations that reflected not just the result, but the effort and unity shown across the week. From their semi-final performance to Friday’s triumph, the team embodied commitment and togetherness—qualities that made this victory all the more special.

A fantastic achievement and a proud moment for everyone involved.
