Fully Funded Fashion Enrichment Programme
This week, our Sixth Form Art students were given an extraordinary opportunity to step into the world of high fashion, creativity and real-world design as we welcomed the talented team at Colours Immortalis.
The visitors delivered an inclusive, hands-on, two-hour creative workshop, giving students the chance to develop and create their own designs which will be entered into the Royal Ascot Fashion Design Competition 2026.
With expert guidance from professionals working within the fashion industry, the workshop explored development concepts, helped them refine their ideas, and produce distinctive designs in a supportive and imaginative environment.
The winning entry will be brought to life as a custom-made garment for the student designer to wear to Royal Ascot — one of the most prestigious events in the British social and sporting calendar.

In addition, selected standout designs will be showcased during the Racing to Zero Summer Mile Weekend at Ascot Racecourse on Saturday 11th July, giving students a platform to share their creativity with a wider audience.
Taking place during National Careers Week, the workshop shone a spotlight on the exciting possibilities within the design and creative industries. Students gained transferable skills in creativity, communication, problem-solving and presentation — all essential for future study and career pathways.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Ascot Racecourse for funding this wonderful initiative and for championing young creatives. By investing in programmes like this, they are helping to nurture the next generation of designers and shining a well-deserved light on the vibrant world of fashion and design.
Because this is a competition we are unable to share the designs at present, but cannot wait to see the incredible ideas our students have created later in the Spring. Perhaps we will even watch one of them step out at Royal Ascot in a design that began right here in our Art classroom!
