Love was certainly in the air at our annual Valentine’s House Charities Bake Sale, as students and staff came together for one of the sweetest events of the school year – and raised an amazing £585 in the process!

The Main Hall was filled with beautifully decorated cakes, colourful cupcakes and delicious brownies, all lovingly baked and generously donated by our talented students, bringing to life the meaning of our Character Pillars Compassion and Motivation.  From classic chocolate creations to impressively intricate showstoppers, the standard this year was higher than ever.

A huge congratulations goes to Neve (Year 10, Eagles), whose stunning cake was crowned Winner in the Cake category. The judges were equally impressed by Sofia (Year 7, Eagles), who earned the title of Runner Up-Cake with her fantastic creation.

In the Brownies and Cupcakes category, Wren (Year 9, Bulldogs) took home the top prize as Winner, while Tessa (Year 10, Panthers) was named Runner Up for her delicious entry.

Beyond the icing and sprinkles, events like this play a vital role in raising awareness of our House charities (Bulldogs – Chat Club, Eagles - Sebastians Action Trust, and Panthers - Food 4 Children) and reminding us of the positive impact our students can have when they think about others. Every slice sold contributed not only to friendly House competition but also to supporting important causes in our local community.

The bake sale was a wonderful example of everyone getting together to support their House and, in turn, raising funds for their House’s chosen charity. It showcased not only our students’ baking talents, but also their generosity, teamwork and community spirit. show kindness and take pride in supporting good causes. The quantity of cakes was amazing.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who baked, bought, donated and supported the event. With £575 raised, we have made a fantastic contribution to supporting our House charities – and we can’t wait to see what our students achieve next!
