A Night of Bond Magic at the Royal Albert Hall

Students had a truly unforgettable evening at the Royal Albert Hall this week, where they were treated to a spectacular performance by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The orchestra was not shaken, but they certainly stirred our emotions with a powerful showcase of iconic music from the James Bond repertoire.

From timeless classics such as Thunderball and Goldfinger to modern favourites including Sam Smith’s Writing’s on the Wall and Billie Eilish’s No Time to Die, the programme was a thrilling journey through decades of Bond history. Performed live in such a magnificent venue, the music felt more alive than ever.

Our students were captivated from the very first note:

“I thought that concert was great and that the male and female singers were AMAZING!!! It was very nice to hear the whole orchestra, the singers and instruments come together to create iconic and amazing music.”

“It was a magical experience, right from the start and all the way until the end! Hearing so many iconic James Bond songs performed live is incomparable to the recordings for the movies.”

We’re delighted that our students had the chance to experience world-class musicianship and witness the energy of a full orchestra bringing such legendary music to life - our thanks to the dynamic Music department for arranging this trip.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to share that the next opportunity to hear our very own talented student musicians will be at the Winter Concert on Wednesday 10th December, when the festive season begins in earnest for our school community.

This year, we are also pleased to introduce the newly formed Friends of Charters School, who will be running the interval bar. They’ll be selling a range of refreshments - from alcoholic drinks and snacks to teas and coffees - to help make the evening even more enjoyable.
