This week has been an exciting one at Charters, as students across all year groups gathered for their House Assemblies to discover where their hard work has placed their House in the current rankings!

Each day, our students earn valuable House Points for their attendance, inspiring work, positive attitude to learning, and for taking part in activities such as the weekly tutor-time quiz and representing Charters in competitions. These points all add up to create a fantastic sense of teamwork and pride within each House.

Today, the excitement reached new heights as our school turned into a sea of red in support of Show Racism the Red Card. Miss Stockwell, our House Coordinator, announced that every student and member of staff wearing red would also be earning extra points for their House — a great way to combine community spirit with our commitment to equality and respect.

The current House standings are:
 Eagles – 3150 points
 Bulldogs – 2950 points
 Panthers – 2675 points

It’s still all to play for though! There are plenty of opportunities to earn more points before Christmas, including taking part in Christmas Jumper Day, Odd Socks Day, being nominated for The Wall of Excellence, and entering Mr Fletcher’s Christmas Postcard Competition.

The House system at Charters is more than just a bit of friendly competition - it’s a way to bring our school community together under our shared motto of Unity, Respect & Excellence, while celebrating our Character Pillars in everything we do.

Good luck to all our students and staff as we head into the second half of term - keep working hard, showing kindness, and flying the flag for your House!
