Inspiring Visit to Arsenal FC Training Centre

On Wednesday, a group of Year 9 and 10 students from Charters School were given the fantastic opportunity to visit Arsenal Football Club’s world-class Training Centre. The trip formed part of Arsenal’s UEFA C Coaching Course programme, providing our students with a unique insight into how one of the Premier League’s top academies develops young talent.
Led by Mr Wales and Mr Cumner, the 24 selected students travelled to London by school minibus for a practical session led by Arsenal’s coaching staff. Wearing their Charters PE kit and fully kitted out for the 4G indoor surface, students experienced professional-level drills and training techniques used by Arsenal’s academy players.
The morning offered not only a chance to improve footballing skills but also to understand the high standards and discipline required at elite level sport. Students were praised for their enthusiasm, teamwork, and commitment throughout the session.
Mr Cumner commented, “This was an amazing experience for our students to see firsthand how top-level coaches operate and to take part in a session at such an iconic club. It’s opportunities like this that really inspire young people to push themselves further both in sport and beyond.”
The school would like to thank Arsenal Football Club for hosting such a memorable and educational experience, and to congratulate the participating students on representing Charters so positively.
