Educational Visit to Ascot Racecourse

Year 11 students had the exciting opportunity to attend a fully immersive educational day at Ascot Racecourse, home of Royal Ascot. The visit, delivered in partnership with the venue’s catering team, offered a unique behind-the-scenes look at the preparation and organisation required for a race day.

As part of the programme, students explored the wide range of skills and planning that go into creating a world-class hospitality experience. They also took part in a hands-on practical activity, allowing them to gain valuable insight into the catering industry in action.

The day proved to be an ideal opportunity for those studying Food Technology, bridging classroom learning with real-world practice in a prestigious setting.

Students travelled to Ascot by school minibus, and were collected at the racecourse following the visit. Equipped with packed lunches and water, they made the most of an educational and memorable experience that highlighted the scale and professionalism of hospitality at one of the UK’s most iconic venues.
