Music Outreach

Last Thursday, a group of talented Charters students took part in a special music outreach session with pupils from St Michael’s C of E Primary School in Sunninghill - and what a joyful morning it was!
Performing a fun and varied programme featuring everything from ABBA classics to the iconic Pirates of the Caribbean theme, our students gave the Year 5 audience a real taste of the musical life at Charters. There was even some enthusiastic singing along from the primary students!
One of our Year 10 performers reflected, "The assembly was really enjoyable to be a part of, and I loved seeing the younger generation getting involved with all the musical activities. I look forward to seeing them join in with music groups at Charters in September!"
These outreach events are part of our work to raise awareness about the Ascot Music Hub, launching in September here at Charters. Designed to inspire primary-aged children to take up instrumental lessons, the Hub will give young musicians access to high-quality teaching and all the benefits that learning an instrument can bring.
Sessions will run every Wednesday from 3:30pm to 6:00pm. To find out more or to sign up, visit www.musicscool.co.uk or email info@musicscool.co.uk
If this has put you in the mood for more music, don’t forget that our Summer Concert is happening this Wednesday at 7:00pm in the Main Hall - tickets are £4 on ParentPay or on the door. It promises to be a fantastic evening celebrating the musical talent across all year groups - everyone is welcome!
