Charters Crowned Berkshire English Schools Golf Champions

On Monday 28 April, many of our budding golfers took part in the English Schools Golf Berkshire Championship, held at Caversham Golf Club. We were proud to have the largest number of students taking part in the event and they were a true credit to the school. It was a great day for golf, made even more special by the exceptional performance of our students who came away as Berkshire English Schools Champions!
In an outstanding display of talent and teamwork, special congratulations go to Archie, Luke and Isaac who contributed to the lowest team gross score of the day, and Layla who won the Girls’ Individual Title—a fantastic achievement by all.
As a result of their impressive performances, Luke, Isaac, and Layla have been selected to represent Berkshire in the ESGA South Region Championship on 29 May. Additionally, Luke has qualified for the ESGA National Under-16 Championship, taking place on 19 May. We are incredibly proud of them and wish all three the very best in these upcoming events.
This success marks an exciting chapter for golf at Charters School, and we look forward to taking part in many more events.
Well done to all our golfers—you’ve done us proud!
