Essential Parcels Collected
When we launched the Charters Essential Parcels initiative last month we had no idea how successful it would be. Within the first week we had received over £3175 and achieved the target we had set ourselves to be able to provide one Essential Parcel for every vulnerable family within our school.
Raising the money was only the first part of the process. One of our staff members who has links to a wholesaler, kindly ordered the items and a group of students and staff then collected the goods from Londis in New Road.
The second part of the process was organising a group of students to pack the Parcels. On Wednesday afternoon seventeen students gave up their second break to pack the store cupboard essentials into bags, ready for collection.
We would like to thank everyone who played a part in helping us to support those in need. The Charters Essential Parcels initiative is a real example of our school community displaying our values of Unity Respect Excellence.
