2025 Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge
We would like to share some wonderful news from the Computing Department regarding our students' participation in this year's 2025 UK Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge, a prestigious national competition designed to develop logical reasoning and problem-solving skills among young people.

This term, six students (three of whom are shown above), took on the challenge which introduces participants to computational thinking through a series of carefully designed logic-based problems. The Bebras Challenge encourages logical reasoning and problem-solving skills that are at the heart of computing and invaluable across all subject areas.
We are delighted to congratulate Year 8 students Orla, Mehher and Heloise, and Year 10s Benjamin, Hadi and Ben for embracing the challenge with enthusiasm and determination. Taking part in a national competition such as Bebras requires confidence, perseverance and a willingness to think creatively under pressure — qualities all six students demonstrated.
Special recognition goes to Orla who achieved a Gold Award, placing her in the top 10% nationally. Impressively, this is her second consecutive year earning this distinction, which is an outstanding accomplishment that reflects her dedication, resilience and continued excellence in computational thinking.
The school and especially the Computing Department extend warm congratulations to all participating students. We are proud of their willingness to challenge themselves, develop new skills and represent our school. Their achievements highlight the growing passion for Computing, and we look forward to supporting even more students in next year's challenge.
