This week, our Year 13 Business students had the exciting opportunity to take part in workshops at the Vue Cinema in Westfield London; the BTEC National Business Unit 2 Grade Booster and the A-Level Business Strong Foundations Workshop. Both experiences were specifically designed to deepen their understanding of the subject while sharpening their exam technique ahead of the summer assessments.

Led by Miss Mittal, students set off from Charters School early on Wednesday morning, ready for a full day of expert guidance and real-world business insight. Held in a dynamic cinema setting, the conference brought together specialist presenters who broke down the key skills required to approach the forthcoming exams with confidence, clarity and strategy.

The sessions were practical, energetic and highly focused on what students need most at this stage in their course — from mastering extended written responses to applying business theories with precision and impact. Many of our students commented on how valuable it was to hear directly from examiners and subject experts, gaining tips that go beyond the classroom.

These events have a strong track record of boosting outcomes, with previous attendees consistently achieving results significantly above their predicted grades. The conference is just one example of the many enrichment opportunities offered to our Business students, supporting their wider learning and helping them connect their studies to the fast-moving world around them. Whether exploring marketing strategies, analysing operations management or understanding financial decision-making, experiences like this help bring the subject to life in an unforgettable way.

We are incredibly proud of how engaged and enthusiastic our students were throughout the day — asking thoughtful questions, taking detailed notes and embracing the chance to strengthen the foundations of their learning.

A huge thank you to Miss Mittal for organising such a valuable experience, and to all the students for representing Charters School so brilliantly.

We look forward to many more opportunities that inspire, motivate and support our learners as they continue their journey through this fascinating subject.
