Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Presentation Evening

We were proud to host a truly fantastic Duke of Edinburgh Awards Evening last night, celebrating the dedication, resilience and achievements of our students over the past year as they completed their Awards. The event featured inspiring speeches from Bella, Sophia and Madeline, each sharing their personal experiences and the impact the D of E programme has had on their growth and confidence.

A short presentation showcased the highlights from expeditions and experiences that have happened this year, followed by a formal presentation of awards.

This year, an impressive 98 Bronze participants and 50 Silver participants took to the stage to collect their hard-earned awards. These students have shown commitment through volunteering, physical challenges, skill development and adventurous expeditions—demonstrating the very best of Charters' spirit.

We are especially proud that our completion rate continues to stand out nationally, placing Charters School among the top 20 schools in the country for Duke of Edinburgh achievement. Alongside this incredible performance, we remain one of the schools offering the highest number of Duke of Edinburgh places each year, ensuring opportunities are open to as many students as possible.

The Duke of Edinburgh awards programme develops skills that are valued throughout an individual's like and we would like to remove any barriers that could prevent a student from taking part.  As some families are struggling with the cost of living crisis, YOU could make it possible for one student to complete a D of E award by sponsoring a student for £150 to enable them to complete the award.  If you would like to help, please click the button below.
