Issy Completes Incredible Climb

During August this summer, inspirational student Issy - now in Year 10 - completed a very challenging 2-day climb to the summits of Mount Olympus, Greece.
Issy reached Mytikas Peak on 19th August - the highest point in Greece and many other European countries at 2918m. The scramble to Mytikas is a YDS Class 3 rock scramble, and not for the faint-hearted (Issy's mum told us how she herself was unable to complete it!).
Issy follows in her great-grandfather’s footsteps, who summited the mountain during his time serving in World War II. She has also helped raise over £1500 for the Fountain Centre, which supports cancer patients and their families at the Royal Surrey hospital, Guildford.
What an amazing achievement and both her family and the school are incredibly proud of what she has accomplished. Well done Issy!
