Charters School is proud to announce the appointment of our 2025–26 Senior Student Team – a group of 16 dedicated and inspiring Year 12 students who will lead the way as role models within our school community.

Following a rigorous and highly competitive interview process, these students have been selected not only for their commitment to school life, but also for the character, empathy and leadership potential they demonstrated throughout. The team is made up of four Head Students and three specialist committees of four students each, focusing on Welfare, Curriculum, and Community. Together, they will represent the voice of the student body, work collaboratively with staff, and play an integral role in shaping the future of Charters.

In their first official meeting this week, the team met with Head of Sixth Form, Mrs Hill, who spoke warmly about the importance of their new roles. She encouraged the students to be “immaculate in all they do,” urging them to set high standards for themselves and others. She also highlighted the importance of looking out for one another and checking in regularly with their peers – a small but powerful habit that can make a meaningful difference.

Mrs Hill reflected on the evolution of the Senior Student Team, noting that the roles they will inhabit have grown over the past few years, and emphasised the value of “small changes with long term positive impact.” It’s clear that these students will be given both the freedom and the responsibility to shape their initiatives thoughtfully and ambitiously.

During the meeting, the students broke into their individual committees for the first time and began early discussions around their goals and ideas for the year ahead. Whether focusing on student wellbeing, academic enrichment, or strengthening connections with parents and the wider community, each team is united by a shared passion for making a difference.

This year’s team is already buzzing with energy and purpose, and we are excited to see how their ideas will come to life in the months ahead. They bring with them not only a commitment to excellence but also a genuine desire to leave Charters School even better than they found it.

We look forward to seeing these remarkable young adults around the school – leading, listening, and learning – and we can’t wait to see the positive legacy they will leave behind.
