Mandarin Students a Credit to School

A small group of Year 8 students has been attending Mandarin lessons at St Mary's School since February half term, and this week we received an email from the school, praising their attitude and commitment to lessons.

Mandarin lessons form part of our school's Enrichment programme which students undertake in their own time. We felt the message should be shared with our wider community as these students have represented our school so beautifully.

Dear Charters School,

I have just seen our Mandarin teacher, Mrs Ramm, who is singing the praises of all your pupils.  They have all learnt not only to say but also to write numbers up to 100 in Chinese characters. They complete homework each week and their attendance has been excellent.  She feels she would like to reward them with Achievement points or whatever reward you choose. She insisted that Charters School should be very proud of them and that it would be great to reward them so I promised I would pass it on.  Would you be able to organise something for these budding linguists on her behalf please?

The students were congratulated during their assembly this week and have received praise points.
