Community Action Day

Students from Year 8 and 9 took part in a Community Action Day at Walton Firs Activity Centre in Cobham this week. The students spent the day cleaning the herb garden, collecting litter and generally ensuring the site was in tip-top condition for the local community to use.

The Community Action Day forms part of the Rising Futures initiative, which challenges students to identify their strengths and set challenging goals for themselves in four areas: Confidence, Resilience, Communication and Self-Awareness.

It was wonderful to see our students 'giving back' to the local community whilst also honing their teamwork skills and building their confidence. 

The day is part of the larger Rising Futures programme which encompasses coaching sessions, careers options and physical and mental challenges.
