NOTICE BOARD

LEGACY FUND

We have launched a new initiative for families who wish to mark the end of their child’s time at Charters and have set up a Legacy Fund for those who wish to make a contribution. The names of all donors will feature on our Legacy Wall in the Main Hall and this year’s donations will help fund the project to upgrade our stage-lighting. Thank you to all those who have already donated to this fund. Should you wish to make a donation please follow this link which will take you to our secure online CAF Donation page.

We are mindful that the whole of the UK is experiencing a rise in the cost of living and are aware that this will have an impact on many of our families. With this is mind we would like to encourage the donation of any unwanted text books after the exams. These can be left in the box in our Main Reception and will then be reallocated to any new student who is unable to purchase the resources for themselves.

As we said goodbye to our Year 11 students this week we would like to wish them every success and happiness for their future.

**UPDATE**

CURRENT YEAR 9 ENGLISH LITERATURE STUDENTS

Please see this letter regarding  set text purchases for Y10 GCSE English Literature starting September 2022.  Should you wish the School to purchase the texts on your behalf,  please ensure that payment is made via ParentPay by 9 am on Monday 23 May 2022.

THE SUMMER CONCERT

On Wednesday 25 May, starting at 5:00 pm, the Summer Chamber Concert will take place in the Sixth Form Common Room. This is a wonderful opportunity to hear some of Charters very talented musicians perform in an informal setting.  Entrance is free and everyone is welcome.

WATER BOTTLES

Can we please ask that students have water bottles with them.  We will be asking for any spare bottles to be donated to school so we can ensure that those students who do not have a bottle can have one.  There are too many students who are late to lessons because they need to get water.  It is a simple fix to bring a bottle in and fill it up during breaks.

For those who like cold water why not freeze a bottle overnight and then throughout the day it will melt giving students cold water.  It is something that many do and it seems to work well.
