Year 9s have certainly been busy this week, with students spending the latter part of it baking delicious fruit crumbles.  As part of their Food Technology lessons, aside from baking mouthwatering treats, students were also learning valuable life skills such as, how to prepare food hygienically, how to correctly and safely use kitchen utensils and a hot oven, and the one that every parent is delighted about, how to clean up after themselves!   To top it all, the classroom smelt amazing as the traditional desserts were baking!

There were some very proud chefs retrieving their bakes from the oven and they were delighted to show of their handiwork.

Thank you to our wonderful Subject Teachers and dediicated Technicians who make these lessons possible.  It has been great to see the students experiencing a practical session, just some of many that we offer through our broad curriculum to bring subjects to life.
