Student Shows Charters How to Sign

Our school motto of Unity Respect Excellence underpins all elements of daily life here at Charters, and thanks to Gabbie, a student in Year 8, our school community is now able to show these values through signing.

Gabbie, who is partially deaf, has been researching the deaf community as part of her PiXL Edge qualification and wanted her peers to learn to sign so that barriers can be broken down.

During assemblies throughout the week, Gabbie has shown our students and staff how to sign the words Unity Respect Excellence and she would like to share this with our wider community.
