Year 9 Options

Students in Year 9 decide which subjects they will study over the next two years for the Key Stage 4 curriculum. This decision is a very important one as it will affect:

  • Progress over the next two years.
  • Choices for further study at the end of these two years.
  • Prospects for employment.

The information below is designed to help students make these decisions, so it is important that time is spent looking at all of the options and discussing decisions with parents/carers, teachers and tutors.  Details of all the courses that are available at Charters, both compulsory and optional, can be found below.

If you have any questions after looking at the options and the process of submitting choices, students should speak with their tutor, subject teachers, Head of Year or Miss Torlop.
