Charters School is committed to provide the opportunity for every pupil to achieve their potential, both academically and in their social development.
The school recognises that able pupils have educational needs which require that their abilities (whether in one or several areas of the curriculum) be properly addressed and for which provision must be made.
Extension is the pursuit of greater depth. This occurs through the teaching of each subject and the provision of differentiated classroom activities.
Enrichment opportunities are provided by activities that take place termly by either different departments or by cross-curricular groups. They involve the selection of pupils with high ability in the skills or subjects appropriate to that activity. |
