What we are trying to achieve
Psychology GCE ‘A’ level provides students with an opportunity to embark on a new and popular science subject that will increase their understanding of themselves and others. In addition to learning how science works and what scientific investigation has revealed about the mind and behaviour, it provides students with the opportunity for analysis and the application of their knowledge to questions about everyday life. The aim of the Psychology Department is to make the lessons relevant to the students so that they engage with the subject and are motivated by both their own enthusiasm, and the enthusiasm of their teachers.
