Charters School library was significantly extended and completely refurbished in 2008. It provides extensive resources for all pupils and staff including a reference collection, newspapers, journals and a popular fiction section. The many computers available here also allow pupils to access additional resources via the school network.
The library is operated by trained staff and is available throughout the day from 8.30 - 4.15pm, except on Fridays when it closes at 3pm. Access at break times is restricted by year group: 3A is for Year 7; 3B for Year 8 and 3C for Year 9. Second breaks are

The upstairs area, known as the Durning Room, is a supervised, silent study area for Sixth Form students equipped with over 50 computer workstations.
