Why should you read?

Reading is not only enjoyable; it also stimulates your brain and broadens your imagination. When you read you can be in a hundred different places at once; a book is anything you want it to be, it just depends on how you interpret it. When life gets boring don’t turn on the TV! Sit down and read a book! Escape from the worries of our world and jump into the looking glass between the covers.

In book club we discuss these amazing wonders that a book can hold; there is much more than paper and ink in your hands. Hundreds of books are waiting for you to explore them. Don’t miss out! Come down to M14 second break on a Friday!

Our book club is different to other book clubs; we will break down the books into chapters so no-one is left behind and can work at their own pace. We will be doing fun activities such as ‘Book speed dating’ and deciding your reading material for lessons. –If you are a part of this you can have a say in what books you will learn about in English lessons!
