ICT Support Services

 

The ICT Support Services (ISS) department provides assistance to all users of the School's ICT systems. The ISS team comprises two network managers and four technicians.

Acceptable Use Policy
In using the School's ICT facilities every user is required to abide by the ICT Acceptable Use Policy. Acceptance and re-acceptance of the policy can be requested at any time. When required this will occur at the initial point of logging into the network.

Account Security
It is essential that personal account details are kept private and not shared with anyone else. All users of the ICT facilities are encouraged to change their passwords regularly. Passwords are changed as follows:

Changing a network password    Hold down Ctrl Alt Delete, choose the "Change a password" option and confirm both the old password and new one.       
   
Changing a USO (FirstClass / Learning Gateway password) Visit http://password.rbwm.org. It is recommended that this is done from a computer or laptop in school.

SIMS Learning Gateway
The SIMS Learning Gateway (SLG) provides students and their parents/carers with information regarding attendance, achievements and assessements (including school reports), their conduct and timetable information. Students log into SLG using their USO (FirstClass) credentials.

Every student and their parent/carer has an account. Further information for parents/carers can be found on the SIMS Learning Gateway page of this website. Students should speak to their tutor or visit the ICT Support Services office for further support or if they cannot access the SLG.

SLG can be accessed from any computer through an Internet browser. Click here to visit the SLG login page. The login link can be found in the top right hand corner of the page.

FirstClass
All staff and students have access to FirstClass, our email and online learning community. Further information can be found on the FirstClass page of this website.
