A weekend in the Lake District ,organised by the Greographical Association, was the fantastic prize for our six Year 10
students after winning the regional 'Worldwise' quiz last year.
The winners of the different regional competitions met at the Blencathra Field Studies Centre near Keswick where pupils learnt about the local landscape and then worked in teams on a presentation about the area with one of the Charters teams winning the award for the best presentation. Congratulations go to Sebastian Down, Jamie Wiles and Joe Walker for their excellent achievement.
Miss Ball, Subject Leader for Geography commented, "the students really entered into the activities and enjoyed the challenge of Geography in a different environment. The judges commented on the high standard of work produced by all six students. It was a very well organised and enjoyable weekend."
