England Captain coaches cricket at Charters

Charters School were delighted to welcome Charlotte Edwards, Captain of the England Ladies Cricket team who are the current Cricket World Cup holders and Twenty 20 Winners 2009.  This was Charlotte’s second visit to the school. This time she led training sessions focussing on game play and tactical awareness with the Lower School girls’ cricket teams.

Kirstie Hartwell, Head of PE said, “We are lucky to have Charlotte Edwards at Charters School today considering her very busy schedule.  The girls’ cricket teams at Charters are now training for the U13s Regional Finals which will take place in April in Bristol and with Charlotte’s training we will gain more expertise and confidence in our skills prior to the regional finals.”
