Bus Services

Many students travel to school on coaches organised by the Borough Councils.  Current Year 6 pupils applying for school transport to Charters for the start of Year 7 should contact their Primary School Secretary for an application form. Once completed,  forms should be returned either to the Primary School or to the address on the form.  For pupils living in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, applications forms can be downloaded from the RBWM website.  Unfortunately, we are not able to process these forms at Charters School.

There is also a private minibus service running from Windsor to Charters School.  For availability please contact First Choice Minibuses T: 01784 430000.  For travel to and from Camberley, Dicksons Travel divert the 500 bus via Charters School in the morning and afternoon.  Please click on the link to view the latest timetable.

If a replacement is required, you will  need to phone the bus company you use and request a new pass.  An administration fee will be charged.  It will take about a week for the replacement to be issued.  If a pass is lost during the school day, pupils can borrow money from the finance office in order to get home.

No student should attempt to board any bus without either a valid pass to show the driver or the money to pay the fare.  Please read the attached notice from White Bus Services.

Late Bus

Over half of all Charters students stay on at school to participate in extra-curricular activities.  To help support this a late bus service is operated by The White Bus service which leaves school at 4.30pm Mondays - Fridays and travels through South Ascot, along Ascot High Street, London Road, Fernbank Road and other areas by request (excluding Cheapside).  The special fare for this late bus service is £1.50 for stops up to Bar One in Ascot High Street and £2 for all stops thereafter.
