After a three hour trip with some (more!) shopping on the way we arrived at Boston airport. After some negotiation, Virgin allowed upo 26 kg (normally max of 23) and we boarded he plane the plane to London. It was good to arrive home to the smiling faces of welcoming parents. Our final day! Can't believe how fast the week has flown. Fantastic day skiing and snow boarding, taking advantage of the 3 inches of snow which fell overnight. Several groups got to go on the tram to the top of the mountain (and enjoy a hot chocolate and cookie at the top). After dinner we went to the local high school to watch a basketball match, an entertaining experience complete with cheerleaders and a solo rendition of Star Spangled Banner. Back to the hotel to pack up the 'floordrobes' and get ready for the journey home.
Then we visited the Rockefeller center and 5th Avenue.

Finally the day was ended with a meal at Bubba Gumps and the musical 'The Addams Family' which was a marvellous spectacle.

The journey up to Valberg was interesting to say the least, Mrs Renteria kept her eyes shut as our coach wound its way along the narrow roads, zigzagging along until we arrived for our "raquettes de neige". The French students were obviously quite used to this particular activity, and arrived at the picnic point looking refreshed, whilst the English students followed at a slightly slower pace! After our picnic all the students had a huge snowball fight before coming back down the mountain to come back to Cagnes.

Sunday has been a beautiful day with lots of sunshine. We are keeping our fingers crossed that the rain that has been forecast for the next few days might not last too long.

Thursday 11.15pm

Last blog post this evening, since by this time tomorrow your child should be safely home with you again, and I should be in my favourite seat at the Brock with some real beer to drink.

But today, it was farewell to the Hotel Campomar:

Then east and north into France, with plenty of beautiful scenery along some stretches, although many of the group were too engrossed by Sherlock Holmes and Mamma Mia to look out the window much.

To MacDonalds at Poitiers, and considerable chaos as forty-nine Big Macs, chicken nugget portions, McFlurrys etc. were distributed, and summarily scoffed...

Finally arrived in Blois in the Loire Valley about a half-hour ago, and children straight to bed (whether straight to sleep we shall see) for a 6am alarm call tomorrow.

My final photo is of our Burly Bus Drivers. Ladies and gentlemen, Kevin and Kerry...

Expect a call via the "phone chain" once we're through customs at Dover early evening on Friday.

When we get back to school your son/daughter will be personally delivered back to you by Mrs Mathews, so please be patient!

Hasta maňana...

Fortunately they were all regurgitated by the time we returned to the hotel at 4.30, in time to meet Pablo the life-guard and head for the sea - for about 20 minutes or so anyway because it was a bit chilly.

So I'm told.
