Careers education aims to develop the knowledge and skills our students require to make successful career choices. We work closely with Adviza, our external careers advisory service, to ensure all our students receive the best possible advice in order to make well-informed decisions that will affect their future.
The school has an abundant supply of careers resources. The Durning Room houses a comprehensive range of careers resources on further and higher education, apprenticeships and employment opportunities for our students. In addition to this, all students have the opportunity to have a careers guidance interview, in confidence, with our careers personal advisor, Georgina Lindsay. Parents can attend the interview with their son/daughter should they wish.
Careers also plays an important part of the academic interviews and we ensure guidance is on hand for our Year 9 and 11 students, should they require further support in order to help them make informed choices regarding their options.
